Hartford HealthCare: Hartford Hospital Awarded Grant to Prevent Firearm-Related Injuries

Hartford Hospital recently received $100,000 in grant funding from the Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education Awards – one of seven organizations nationwide totaling $1.5 million in funding – to prevent, treat and heal firearm-related injuries and repercussions. The 2025 award process drew more than 160 proposals.

Kaiser partners with communities, hospital systems and public health to prevent firearm violence and suicide, advance trauma-informed care and develop sustainable, evidence-based interventions.
