Bring Me The News: Lawsuit: Former employee alleges gun lobby pushed Minnesota DPS to fire her
A former employee is suing the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS), alleging that she was fired after gun rights advocates pushed for her dismissal.
According to DPS, the law allows certain people to ask for a court order to temporarily bar someone from buying or having a gun during a time of crisis. “An ERPO directs a person to surrender their firearms and prevents a person from purchasing firearms while the ERPO is in effect,” the department’s website says.
